Our Approach

Most clinics that "treat" failed back syndrome do just that - treat. They do not dedicate time to reviewing all of the information available to them to determine the root cause of the pain. This source of pain may be a result of a car accident 20 years ago, or an unnecessary back surgery two years ago. With most clinics rushing towards the most profitable path - treatment - it is inevitable that most people with FBS will never truly get better. With an estimated 20% of all lower back surgeries resulting in FBS, it is crucial to take a more comprehensive approach to diagnose and treat this ailment. This is why Dr. Cornacchia and Dr. Adams created Capteum Spine. Both of these doctors have spent their lives diagnosing and treating back pain in patients, and have seen first hand how this process is traditionally approached. With a combined 60+ years of experience, they sought to create a better system to diagnose and treat ailments in FBS patients, ultimately creating Capteum to achieve this goal. The diagnostic and treatment process is depicted below, and gives a brief outline of how we go about helping FBS patients.
